INFLATABLE LIFEJACKETS

Just as in liferafts, SOLAS requires inflatable lifejackets to be serviced at intervals not exceeding 12 months or, 17 months if the Administration gives an extension. Manufacturer approved Service Facility

Inflatable lifejackets should be serviced in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, at service stations accredited by them having necessary tools and spares

Lifejacket Inflation & Pressure Test

Lifejackets need to be inflated, their pressure tested, and their fabric thoroughly inspected in and out for leakages.

Gas Cartridge Weighment

Unfired lifejacket cartridges being weighed during a periodic service to ensure sufficient gas is available to inflate the lifejacket completely.
